As defined in the encyclopedia, jewelry is a personal adornment. It may be worn for decoration, practical use, to show rank or wealth, and for fashion. The most universal forms of jewelry are the necklace, bracelet, earring and pin.
Jewelry has been made from almost every material known and made to adorn many body parts. High-quality jewelry is created with gemstones and precious (noble) metals, such as sterling silver, gold and copper. Gemstones can be minerals, rocks, organic material and are considered precious or semi-precious due to their luster, color or rarity.
TP & Company’s designs are created using the above elements to give each piece its individual character. Our necklace, bracelet and earring creations are made in free-form style using sterling silver, 14kt gold-filled, copper and gemstones. Our sterling silver and copper materials are hand-forged into the desired shape or form for each design
We have two styles of pins in our collection. Our signature line includes collaged brooches from found objects arranged like a jeweled puzzle into new designs. Each pin is a one-of-a-kind creation. Our contemporary designs include sterling silver and copper, hand wrought into various shapes, and collaged with found objects. The copper is fired until the desired color is obtained prior to collaging it with the found objects and sterling silver.
